Introducing the stunning new Blackbeard Yearling Colt for the Basher Watts Racing Syndicate. He is bred impeccably with a very strong page filled with black type. Out of Lovelocks, a full sister to High Grounds who had a rating of 96. Lovelocks is a proven broodmare and has produced 4 winners from 6 runners with 2 going on to achieve black type.
Nellie Leylax is a half brother to our colt, by Calyx, rated 101 and winning over £282,000 all over the world. He reached his peak RPR rating of 105 when winning the Betfred Silver Bowl at Haydock for trainer Tom Dascombe.
Love Talk is a half sister to our colt, by Ten Sovereigns, winning just short of £100,000 with a top rating of 93. She actually won the big EBF final handicap on the 25th September 2024 — a certain Shes Perfect was third behind her that day. A lovely link for the syndicate.
He is by new stallion Blackbeard who was champion 2YO, winning 6 of his 8 racecourse starts and just short of £500,000 including the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes. He has had a fantastic first season as a sire with Pensando A Te winning the Group 2 Rockfel at Newmarket for Marco Botti. He has had more 2YO winners than Frankel, Too Darn Hot, Night of Thunder, Bayside Boy and Starspangledbanner. Our colt has a fantastic page with just 3 dams on the page, full of black type. He walked like a champion and vetted very well (he is a rig).
I am absolutely delighted to be sending a horse to Hugo Palmer in Cheshire, our brand new Northern based trainer. Manor House Stables, owned by Michael Owen, provide absolutely fantastic facilities for both our horse and his owners, and the team have had a great year winning over £1,500,000 in prize money.
Our boy Davey (his nickname) will head to Vicarage Farm to be broken in by Adam Kirby. This is where Godolphin send their yearlings to be broken in. It's fantastic. He will then head up to his new home in Cheshire with Hugo.
Shares are now on sale in multiples of 2.5%. The cost per 2.5% share is £2,950 upfront (this includes all payments for the rest of 2026) and then £100 per month starting at the end of January 2027.
What are the benefits of being an owner? A % of prize money won (paid out at the end of each calendar year); invitation to regular stable mornings at Manor House Stables (friends and family welcome); an owners WhatsApp group with the owners and trainer where you receive regular video updates on your horse, get to know the other owners and ask the trainer questions directly; the chance to have an owners and trainers badge when your horse runs; and you own your share in your horse — if we decide to sell the horse you are entitled to your % of the sale proceeds.
Upon receiving your payment you will be added to the WhatsApp groups and sent your contract and share certificate. I will arrange an owners morning to come and see him in the next few weeks. Thank you for your interest, I'd love to have you onboard this journey.
